Hi Awana Families,
There is no Awana this week due to a school event. Next week’s theme is Operation Christmas Child. Please remember to bring items to fill your club’s shoebox. Information on suggested items can be found below. We look forward to seeing you next week!
Detailed information on packing shoeboxes:
Each club will collectively pack the following boxes:
Cubbies: one (1) boys & one (1) girls box for 2-4 year olds
Sparks: one (1) boys & one (1) girls box for 5-9 year olds
T&T: one (1) boys & one (1) girls box for 10-14 year olds
Note: your child is not required to pack an entire shoebox, only to contribute items to help their clubs fill their boxes. The number of items your child provides will be up to you.
TOYS: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.
HYGIENE ITEMS: toothbrush, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
OTHER: T-shirts, socks, ball caps; sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)
DO NOT INCLUDE: Candy; toothpaste; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
